Metaltrax Group PLC announced last week that that it has sold the trade and assets of MRX Plastic Moulders, its plastic products and precision injection molding business based in Burnley, Lancashire, for an undisclosed sum.

MRX was part of Metaltrax’s Housewares Division. According to sources, the sale of MRX takes Metaltrax almost entirely out of the plastic molding business. According to Chairman John Crabtree, “mounting uncertainty in raw plastic materials prices” spurred the decision to sell MRX.
