La Seda de Barcelona, a company
specializing in PET packaging solutions, has been given the green
light to a production restart at its plant in El Prat de Llobregat.
Industrial activity has been set out and will be gradually increasing
to reach 100% of its installed capacity.
While IQA Tarragona is working at
normal course, the Catalan plant restart will allow recovering full
output of its industrial facilities, on which Multichemical group is
counting. This decision comes from the agreements performed by the
Board of Directors on June 25th.
In 2008, La Seda de Barcelona completed
its acquisition of AMCOR’s European PET packaging business, now APPE.
Established in 1925, La Seda de
Barcelona (LSB) is a leading supplier of PET resins and other chemical
products as well as plastic packaging. LSB operates 22 factories in 11
countries with 2,300 employees.
