Batavia,
Illinois-based Portola Packaging, Inc .announced that Kevin Kwilinski
has been hired as its President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Kwilinski comes
to Portola from a 10 year career with Graphic Packaging International,
a $4.5 Billion global paperboard packaging company, where he served in
numerous professional leadership roles, including most recently as the
Senior Vice President- Supply Chain. In addition, to his most recent
position with Graphic, he has also served as Director, Shared Services
and Director of Sales and Manufacturing in Graphic Packaging’s Global
Beverage Unit. Kevin has also held the position of Plant Manager in
several of Graphic’s converting operations across multiple operating
divisions. Mr. Kwilinski is also a certified Six Sigma Champion.
Portola Packaging is
a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of tamper-evident
plastic closures used in dairy, fruit juice, bottled water, sport
drinks, institutional food and other non-carbonated beverage markets.
The Company also produces a wide variety of plastic bottles for use in
dairy, water and juice markets, including various high density
bottles, as well as five-gallon polycarbonate water bottles. In
addition, the Company designs, manufactures and markets capping
equipment for use in high speed bottling, filling and packaging
production lines. Portola is also engaged in the manufacture and sale
of tooling and molds used for blow molding.
